Sustainable Tourism Care Foundation (ASTCF)’s Executive Director. The intern

in resource mobilization.
Successful completion

and expand their programs by moving towards greater financial sustainability.
Currently ASTCF serves approximately 5,800 community members in multiple
projects. Ongoing community projects include improving nutritional intake
through promoting vegetable gardens; improving hygiene practices by
constructing latrines and training girls to make reusable female sanitary pads;
empowering women by forming female-focused Village Savings and Loans
Associations (VSLA), and working with those VSLA members to increase their
earnings through improving their crafts and agricultural production practices.
The intern will
spend the majority of his/her time in the office with occasional visits to the
field to gain a direct understanding of ASTCF’s programs. Typical work schedule
for this position is Monday – Friday from 9:00am-4:30pm. ASTCF office has 3
computers; they are connected to the WIFI internet.

funding streams, and existing/planned organizational strategies to garner
additional grants. - Conduct

with ASTCF staff to develop competitive grants, starting from the project
brainstorming stage to the final proposal submission phase. Additional

regional and international fundraising activities. - Based

fundraising strategy that builds a steady, consistent approach, ensuring

operations. Possible activities here may include compare and contrast
different fundraising practices from different cultures and countries,

include reaching out to local businesses for sponsorships, holding
exhibitions selling products, etc.
