LUMASCAPE is currently seeking
a dynamic Assistant Accountant/ Bookkeeper with excellent communication,
organisational skills to join its Admin and Finance team at its Cleveland
facility. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is very hands on in
all accounting and administrative areas of the business. Their primary function
will be to provide support to our Financial Controller in order to meet the
reporting deadlines and obligations of various entities.
As
we are actively predicting and responding to rapid growth and increased
compliance needs, the ideal candidate will have the ability to embrace and
adapt to change.
An
immediate start is available for the successful candidate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Journal
    entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Accounts
    payable, accounts receivable
  • Preparation
    of monthly profit and loss and balance sheet reports
  • Variance
    analysis and verification of data
  • Assist
    in the improvement and streamlining of processes and accounting policies
  • Inter-entity
    transactions/reconciliations
  • Maintaining
    the fixed asset register including calculating depreciation
  • Preparation
    and lodgment of BAS, IAS and other statutory/ taxation obligations
  • HR
    support including maintaining employee records & associated
    administration tasks
  • Bank
    and credit card reconciliations
  • Manage
    banking, cash book postings and reconciliation
  • Perform
    all Payroll related reconciliations and journal entries at month end
  • Daily
    cash flow entries and monthly planning
  • Prepare
    and enter all overseas bank transfers and foreign currency entries in
    accounting system
  • Other
    duties as required
THE
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
  • 2+
    years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven
    experience in both financial and management reporting
  • The
    ability to prioritize and manage competing demands, deadlines and targets
  • Problem
    solving skills / solutions focused
  • Highly
    organised and dependable
  • High
    attention to detail and follow through ability
  • Experience
    dealing with multiple entities/ inter-entity transactions
  • Excellent
    communication skills; both verbally and written
  • Self-motivated
    and team focused
  • Strong
    computer skills including MS Office products
  • ERP
