Malaysia Opportunity — Service Desk Analyst
We are hiring the Service
Desk Analyst
for our US MNC client in KL, Malaysia. This is permanent and
stable role.
Salary: SGD 3000-3500  
Responsibilities
Service Desk/Operational Management:
  • Serve as first and single point of contact for
    incidents and service requests from clients
  • Ensure effective & efficient delivery of
    support services as per SLA
  • Manage the Service Desk email and telephone,
    establishing urgency of the problem and owning the problem through
    resolution keeping the client informed of progress.
    • Manage and update all systems documentation
      including system business rules, functional specification, client change
      requests and user management access
  • Manage users administration across various
    application and active directory
  • Being part of an APAC support team, providing
    24×7 after hours support on a rotating roster with strict SLAs.
  • Supports call-initiated workflow through IT,
    logging all customer questions, requests and problems and tracks the same
    through to resolution.
  • Perform, Monitor and Report daily server
    backups, application and network monitoring, service desk request within
    SLA and PCI Compliance
  • Provide first level support for Windows Server
    & Desktop environment, including PC & Server builds, deployment,
    and related software installs
  • Administer backup plan to ensure adequacy of
    storage growth, backup retention and restore requests
Experience:  
  • Experience in IT service desk environment
    supporting end-users using ITIL based system.
  • Exposure to ITSM related processes and general
    understanding of IT Infrastructure, Data, Voice over IP, Security and
    Systems.
  • Ability to escalate and prioritize support
    calls and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong verbal, written communication in
    English, organizational & planning skills, & multitasking ability.
    • Demonstrate ability to plan & organize
      work to ensure objectives are met within timeframe and SLA.
    • Demonstrated process driven, root cause
      problem solving skills and eye for details.
  • Ability to escalate and priorities support
    calls and under pressure
  • Familiar to ITIL process, incident, problem,
    change management, strong internal control processes and procedures.
  • Experience in responding to application
    monitoring alerts
  • Good interpersonal skills with all levels of
    people; customers, clients, senior management
  • Ability to work through support, delivery
    project work with minimal supervision and self-motivated.
  • Bachelor Degree, with a technology or business
    emphasis, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Min 3 years in service desk and server
    experience
  • ITIL certifications would be advantageous
  • Working knowledge in web hosting environment
    MS Windows Server, IIS, .NET, MS SQL database server, scripting,
    understanding events, application logs would be advantageous
