My client is currently seeking a number of Senior Drilling Engineers to join their team based in the office in Accra, Ghana. The company is currently involved in a large deepwater campaign off the coast of Accra. Applicants will need to be experienced in deepwater engineering with specific experience of Drillships & Semi Subs.
The purpose of the Senior Drilling Engineer is to provide and be responsible for the overall drilling engineering support to the Ghana deepwater operation from Accra. This role will work with the Drilling Engineer’s and Drilling Superintendent(s) to ensure well integrity and a high level of operational efficiency is maintained.
Desired Skills & Experience
• A university degree in an engineering discipline.
• Valid survival certification.
• Minimum of 8 years experience as a drilling engineer with operating companies.
• Subsea drilling experience with, preferably, experience within the last 5 years in water depths greater than 800 metres.
• Preferably, knowledge and experience in design and running of Cased Hole Frac Packs, subsea well testing, and subsea tree/ landing string systems.
• Work experience in remote locations and knowledge of work environments in West Africa.
