Volunteers are expected to design fund-raising strategies to enable AFAWI conference team raise funds to finance the conference theme: Women and trade – An inclusive approach to development in Africa and A gender dimension to microfinance in Africa.
Online volunteers will not be asked to request funding on our behalf.
Volunteers are expected to work within a three Months period. AFAWI will provide and assist volunteers through coordination and the provision of needed documents and information to enable volunteers to work effectively.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Women groups play a crucial role in the socio-economic development in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). This conference will discusses how women can better be integrated in an overall inclusive approach to trade development in the region. What would be the implications of women in local economic development in SSA? Gender perspective to trade is AFAWI’s integrated approach to achieving the MDGs.
