AJPRODHO’s
vision is a peaceful society where there is youth participation for social
justice and decent living conditions for all, whilst
its
mission is to empower disadvantaged people that include children, women and
people with disabilities  to demand for their rights
 and
advocate for their socio-economic development. Apparently AJPRODHO is
operating in 15 Districts across Rwanda both Rural
 and
urban, AJPRODHO’s interventions revolve around three program areas; Human
rights and Access to Justice, governance
 and
Democracy and Youth Economic Empowerment.
AJPRODHO
has been in existence since 1997, intervening in the following program are

Job
Purpose
The
purpose of this position is to Manage to implement Duhuze Project.
The
specific objective of the Duhuze Project is to support societal
healing by enabling Rwandans to effectively manage individual and collective
wounds and differences, improve trust and cooperation, and celebrate their
diversities. The project is implemented by AJPRODHO with support from
International Alert funded by USAID –Rwanda.
This
is a local position; the holder will work in one of the district mentioned
above  project through thematic strands to ensure that project staff
have peace building knowledge and expertise needed to ensure the production
of high-quality, high-impact project outputs and outcomes. This will involve
working closely with the International Alert Project manager.
Duties
and Responsibilities
  • Lead
    the planning, organization/ facilitation and implementation of the
    project activities at district levels.
  • Lead
    the planning, organization/ facilitation and implementation of the
    project activities at district levels.
  • Maintain
    programmatic accountability for project activities including data
    collection, evaluation, and record keeping of activities, and the
    completion of all necessary Monthly, quarterly progress reports.
  • Preparation
    of regular project plans.
  • Coordinate
    Duhuze project andsupport for peace-building programs
  • Lead
    in designing and implementation of peace-building approaches and
    activities for Duhuze project that will create sustainable peace and
    economic development of youth.
  • Liaise
    with local authorities, NGOs, CBOs, district authorities to improve
    understanding of conflict resolution mechanisms and peace building
    initiatives.
  • Mainstream
    peace-building as a cross-cutting theme across all project activities.
  • Any
    other duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
and experience:
  • A
    University degree in: Law, Political sciences, public administration,
    management, Sociology social sciences with at least 2 years of
    experience
  • Skills
    and experience in project/program implementation, monitoring, review and
    evaluation;
  • Project
    management experience with good interpersonal skills and ability to
    communicate at all levels;
  • Solid
    experience in grant management, including budget holding and donor
    reporting;
  • Experience
    of working with partners in a participatory approach;
  • Training
    skills
  • Fluency
    in written and spoken English and French, Kinyarwanda is Mandatory;
  • Computer
    literate.
  • Facilitation

    skills
  • Ability
    to work successfully and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Able
    to work extra and long hours
  • Ability
    to work independently
  • Excellent
    reporting and writing skills;
  • Good
    oral and written communication skills;

  • Commitment
    to professionalism and work ethics;
  • Must
    stay at place of work.
  • Driving
    lincence with Category A is essential
