lead the Air Canada media digital team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that
Air Canada’s media products have a leading digital presence while executing
multi-platform thinking across our media channels. In your arsenal:

Air Canada’s media products have a leading digital presence while executing
multi-platform thinking across our media channels. In your arsenal:
award-winning travel content and photography, access to a creative editorial
team and a roster of travel-savvy contributors across the globe. You will act
as a springboard to create and enable the creation of engaging multi-media
stories – from web to video to social me
dia to games and apps – and produce
traffic-driving initiatives for Air Canada’s media channels, including Air
Canada’s enRoute, onAir (Air Canada’s monthly e-newsletter) and community
management/social media.
You’ll:
- Bring
strategic thinking to the table to oversee the digital strategy for Air
Canada’s media products; - Identify
metrics that are relevant to our content and audience engagement goals and
communicate this information to staff on a regular basis with actionable
takeaways; - Be
a digital visionary for Air Canada’s enRoute magazine, working closely
with the editorial team to identify and enable rich content opportunities; - Following
the pipeline from brainstorming to posting, you will collaborate with
staff to develop exclusive, award-winning digital content which you will
generate and assign to in-house contributors and freelancers; - Commission
and edit the onAir newsletter each month, ensuring the content captures
our travel-savvy audience and generates above-average click through rates; - Working
with an intern, you will oversee community management – increasing traffic
and social shares (facebook, twitter, tumblr, instagram) for Air Canada’s
enRoute media and Air Canada media; - Create
content and collaborate on the digital strategy for Air Canada social
media projects, including ideation with the interactive team; - You
will be a content marketing guru, collaborating with the Spafax
interactive group, marketing, sales and editorial, to develop the digital
components of special media products, such as nation-wide initiatives
(Canada’s Best New Restaurants), special interest publications (enRoute Style
edition) and commercially driven microsites; - Foster
best-in-class multi-platform storytelling, optimizing content in order to
create digital opportunities (sidebars, parallel stories, interviews,
video, slideshows, etc.) for enroute.aircanada.com and onAir, ensuring a
quality, on-brand experience;
Qualifications:
- Three
or more years experience in web, digital, mobile and/or social
media. - Knowledge
of all facets of online content production, including writing for the web
and editing (audio/video production experience an asset). - A
proven track record of strategic thinking and content planning;
demonstrate successful execution of past projects. - Collaboration
with multimedia streams, particularly in producting or managing audio and
video works, is an asset. - Bilingualism
(English and French) an asset.
