educational facilities to provide innovative services and work to change the
attitudes of the societies we serve when it comes to criminal justice issues.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The IT Manager will primarily be responsible for
the effective management of a wide range of information, training in IT
and analysis of programme activities as well as reporting on these on an
agreed basis. - The post holder will work closely with Country
Director to ensure that the systems required to contribute to the
monitoring and evaluation of activities on a routine basis and the
development and implementation of the performance reviews/reports. - Render support in the routine maintenance and
repair of organizational IT infrastructure in-line with the required
standard to ensure maintenance of routine work and minimize disruptions to
work process. - Technically support in the planning and
development, delivery and evaluation of IT training in prisoners, prison
communities and at the resource centre. - The incumbent will provide IT roles to the
organization Unit to ensure that all the IT equipment/infrastructure of
the Authority which includes computers, servers, printers, - etc are properly maintained and properly
utilised. - Participate in maintenance of the organization’s
Information Management Systems to ensure integrity of the systems Area of
Operation - Actively participate in in-house software
development, maintenance and upgrading - Identify I.T needs of the organization and
present recommendations for improvements. - Prepare or cause preparation of database and
templates for data collection and processing of information from APP
activities. - Design computer generated reports from APP
databases and activities to guide policy decisions and inform stakeholders
and the public. - Participate in regularly updating of APP web
portal and social sites with guidelines, reports and other information to
stakeholders and the public. - Co-ordinate and supervise consultants’ activities
and ensure timely completion and compliance with the Terms of Reference. - The job holder may be required to communicate or
prepare periodic reports both orally and in writing; - Work with/supervise I.T service providers and
consultants in execution of his/her responsibilities. - Perform any other duties as may be assigned by
the Country Director, Project coordinator and etc
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should preferably hold a good
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or
Information Systems from a recognised University - At least one year’s experience in a reputable
organization.
