on addressing malnutrition through the production of nutritious, high quality
fortified foods. It is a joint venture involving a number of international
organisations: DSM – the largest nutrition company in the world; the World Bank
(IFC); the UK Govt (CDC) the Dutch Govt (FMO). The Government of Rwanda, and
the World Food Programme.

products are intended to address malnutrition a

mong vulnerable population
segments such as pregnant and breast-feeding mothers, older infants and young
children especially in the first 1,000 days of their life. To this end, we have
built a world class food processing plant in Rwanda – to serve the East Africa
region – and are now expanding into Ethiopia.

Purpose
of the job
The
Procurement Data and Sourcing Analyst will be responsible to secure data
gathering and analysis on internal purchasing status, supply markets,
competition and trade environment, as input to Procurement Manager for all
purchases of AIF.
The
jobholder will contribute to keep a track of internal data of the department,
on spend, savings and advise on future market prices forecasts.
The
focus of the Procurement Data and Sourcing Analyst will be to support
decision making by converting market data into added value and pro-actively
support the Sourcing Method process.
Key
Responsibilities
Core
Responsibilities:
  • Keep
    all internal data of the procured raw materials, prices and savings
    report.
  • Publish
    a monthly report on the Total Budget together with market information.
  • Publish
    a monthly report on international pricing of key Direct Raw Material.
  • Evaluate
    risk, assess, prepare forecasts, scenarios and other factors concerning
    the supply market, give reports and recommendations
  • Collect,
    evaluate, and analyse sourcing information to provide direction to the
    organization.
  • Keep
    updated market information which is used by the company in various
    aspects.
  • Prepare
    organizational, industry & economic outlooks and analytical reports
  • Analyse
    and evaluate competitive intelligence, market reports, trade periodicals
  • Advise
    the Procurement Department from where, when, and with whom to purchase
    with tangible ground information
  • Develop
    and update regularly sourcing strategies
  • Understand
    and track performance of the organization’s spend, supply market, costs,
    and tiers of suppliers
  • Identify
    high impact cost reduction opportunities
  • Leverage
    the organization’s buying power to optimize costs, access new suppliers,
    reduce lead times, and guarantee supply
  • Provide
    research and input into the financial sourcing aspects of contracts and
    call for tender when information is not readily available
  • Develop,
    implement and use tools and technology for managing and analysing the supplier
    portfolio
  • Comply
    with and maintain knowledge of applicable rules, legislation,
    regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Perform
    internal analyses on spend, work processes Total Cost of Ownership and
    customer needs (quantity and quality).
Support
Contract Manager in implementing contract & ensure contract compliance:
  • Support
    in collecting and consolidating data on contract compliance and supplier
    performance
  • Support
    in identifying opportunities and actions for continuous improvement by
    means of analysis of supplier performance and KPI data.
  • Convert
    market data/information into measurable added value (e.g. security of
    supply, savings) to serve category and/or Hub.
Knowledge
and educational level
Educational
level:
  • Bachelor’s
    Degree in Business Management, Applied Mathematics Statistics or any
    other related field
  • Business
    mind person in administration/Logistics with good analytical skills,
    structural thinking & presentation capabilities, and an outgoing and
    convincing personal character.
Required
level of experience
  • 5
    years’ experience in Microeconomic analysis, data analysis with demand
    forecasting and procurement and Operations planning
  • Experience
    with SAP, ERP-system (Purchase and Forecasting applications)
  • Excellent
    command of data-analysis using excel
  • Experience
    of local, regional and International agricultural commodity markets
  • Knowledge
    of supply chain concepts Total Cost of Ownership
  • Knowledge
    of purchasing processes (sourcing and operational) in business
    to-business context
  • Familiar
    with industry and markets dynamics as well as value chain
  • Result
    oriented & Self-propelling attitude
  • Pro-active
    in process-efficiency-initiatives
