Rwanda wishes to recruit qualified candidates to fill the positions of Civil
Engineer
, Civil Works
Supervisor,
and Business Development Coordinator for a project to be
implemented in Ruganda
Sector, Karongi District.
Background:
The
three-year (2016-2018) Project will i

nvolve:

  1. Innovative
    integrated rural development with a focus on intensive agriculture
    production and community mobilisation.
  2. Managing
    intensive casual labour for land terracing and rehabilitation of feeder
    roads and bridges.
  3. Construction
    of the Sector Community Center Hall and the Sector Crops Storage Facility.
  4. Development
    of the Livestock and agriculture value chains including post-harvest
    handling and marketing.
  5. Management
    and facilitation of income generation activities, savings and credit and
    cooperative management.
  6. Building
    the capacity of community-based groups through tailor-made training
    modules to empower the participants to sustain project activitiesbeyond
    the project’s lifetime.
ADRA
Rwanda, therefore, wishes to recruit personnel in the following
Position:
Civil Works Supervisor
Reporting
to the Civil Engineer, the successful candidate will supervise the
rehabilitation of
feeder
roads and the construction of bridges using local labour of community members.
Requirements
The
candidate will have:
  1. At
    least 3 years’ demonstrable field experience with a Bachelor’s degree in
    Civil engineering, or at least 5 years’ demonstrable field experiencewith
    a Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  2. Experience
    in working with, and supervising local communities in similar work.
  3. Qualified
    to ride a motorcycle.
  4. Willingness
    to live full-time in the Ruganda Sector.
Duration
  1. The
    Civil Works Supervisor will be hired for a period of 1 year.
