Control Technican

Location: Brookfield, near Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
ADI International (PEI) Inc. operates the Central Compost Facility
located in Brookfield, PEI. We require a Quality Control Technician
for the Facility.
Key responsibilities of this position will include:
• Quality control of the overall process (incoming feedstock, material
preparation, composting, leachate management, odor control etc…);
• Inspection of incoming loads for compliance with Waste Watch
guidelines and applying surcharges or rejection of loads, when
applicable, and complete inspection reports;
• Hands-on approach (Pre-Processing, Mixing, Composting, Curing,
Post-Processing, Storage etc…)
• Minor Lab work
• Communicate, educate and offer assistance to the contract haulers to
ensure compliance and an understanding of the Waste Watch Program
guidelines
• Work in conjunction with the scale house operator and other facility staff
• Attend training sessions in order to gain a good understanding of
the composting technology
• Assist with tours of the facility to promote the Waste Watch Program
and the facility operation
Qualifications:
• Written and verbal communication skills;
• Proficient in Microsoft Work and Excel;
• Ability to work productively with limited supervision;
• Post-secondary education or equivalent;
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle
