Hillcrest Christian College Teaching Job Vacancy in Australia

Located
on 10 hectares of private, natural bushland, the College is situated in the
elevated Hinterland just behind Burleigh Heads, with views to Surfers Paradise
and the wider Gold Coast. After an extensive 2 year building program, we are
now blessed with an incredible contemporary campus that provides an open and
beautiful environment for each member of our community to enjoy and belong.

Hillcrest
is a Christian College because Christian values and principles are modelled and
encouraged by our staff. It is not a religious school in the traditional sense.
We see education as holistic – striving for academic excellence in balance with
the physical, creative, social and spiritual aspects of College life.
Hillcrest
caters for Australian and International students enrolling from Prep to Year 12
on one campus. Kindy and Outside School Hours Care (before and after school
care and vacation care) are also available to our families.
Hillcrests’
renowned Gifted and Talented Program gives all students the opportunity to
accelerate their learning. The IGNITE (Prep – 2) and FLARE (Years 3 – 6)
programs are part-time enrichment projects for students identified as requiring
extension in specialised subject areas. In Years 3 – 6 we offer full-time
extension classes for those children identified in the highly gifted range who
are at risk in mainstream classrooms.
The
Honours Program (Years 10-12) gives students access to QCAA accredited Honours
and Extension Mathematics and English courses, mentoring programs and access to
study selected Bond University, University of Queensland, Griffith University
and Southern Cross University subjects while in Year 12.
An
extensive and affordable co-curricular program provides further opportunities
for all students from Prep through to Year 12 to participate in activities
outside of usual school hours, ranging from sport, debating, Duke of Ed, the
arts, language and more. Our co-curricular program allows each child to explore
a variety of activities to give them the opportunity to discover their interests
and talents.
Hillcrest
is renowned for its Excellence Choral and Basketball programs and mission
focus.
