Role
overview

VSO Rwanda is looking for a competent and dynamic candidates to fill the
position of a project Manager for Itegure Gusoma Project. At VSO, a Project
Manager is responsible for planning and organising project resources to achieve
sustainable project results with good value for money. S/he is responsible for
learning, documentation, regular monitoring and timely communication of project
results to relevant stakeholders. S/he is accountable to primary actors, VSO
partners and VSO management.
Location: Field-based (with frequent
travels)
Reports to:
Head of Programmes
Supervises:
Volunteers and FOO
Works with:
Technical Advisors, Finance and Grants & People and Operations Teams.
Contract:
Open-ended contingent upon satisfactory performance and continued funding.
He/She
must be flexible to work in any area of Rwanda
Skills,
qualifications and experience required
Required:
I.
Master degree in management, Project management or relevant area of study from
a reputable University;
II. Solid project management experience gained from complex programmes in
Rwanda;
III. Good understanding of social inclusion, social accountability and
resilience principles;
IV. Experience in programming to achieve Rwanda’s vision 2020 and global goals
(SDGs);
V. Specific experience in education, livelihoods, health and governance is
mandatory;
VI. Excellent people skills; relationships, negotiation, networking and coordination
skills;
VII. Excellent communications, analytical, presentation and public relations
skills; and
VIII. Experience in field operations planning, management, coordination and
security.
