Causes of tobacco smoking

1.      Social integration: Smoking is a
social habit when others around you are smoking you practically feels like you
should be doing the same, its easier to talk with others who are smoking.
2.      They are mirroring others: As a young
adult, it is natural to look up to others. It is also natural to mirror their
actions sometimes that mean wearing the same style of clothes. This is one if
the main reasons young people start smoking they see adult doing it.

3.      Peer pressure: When a person’s
peer smoke cigarettes, he is more likely to begin smoking.
4.      They enjoy smoking: Every smoker
knows what smoking does to their body when you ask one of them why they smoke
cigarettes, they usually respond that they like smoking that is both true and
false in reality.
5.      Weight control: Whether young
or old some people smoke to control their weight, smokers on the average weigh
seven pounds less than non-smokers, smoking reduces a person’s appetite.
6.      Experimentation/adventure: As teen mostly,
the spirit of adventure and experiments flow deeply especially when something
is for bidden they would love to dare the consequence and feel good with it
especially when not caught in the act.
7.      Stress removal: Most of the
working people smoke as they think that a puff of nicotine reduces their stress
levels and makes them feel relieved, this happens as cigarette create conditions
that help the body deal with anxiety, depression or stress.

To feel relaxed:
This happens to mostly adults they may have a lot of
stress and pressure because of economic and personal problem. They may be
unemployed or working but not making enough money to take care of themselves
and their families, all these people may smoke to feel relaxed or to give them
energy while going through a hard times.
