CARE USA is now seeking a Team Leader
for the Pathways Program – a position both challenging and rewarding for the
right individual., The Pathways Team Leader will be based in either Dar Es
Salaam, Tanzania, or Accra, Ghana, leading a group of four direct reports based
across Africa and the USA and reporting to the Director of Knowledge Management
and Innovation (KM&I) in FLJ. The Pathways Team Leader will provide
leadership for the accountable implementation, governance, coordination,
management, and learning outcomes of this multi-country program.

leadership for the accountable implementation, governance, coordination,
management, and learning outcomes of this multi-country program.
S/he will be
responsible for managing the Pathways central team, and putting in place
processes and systems for coordination, management and communication across the
program. This will include setting up and convening the program’s management
and leadership committee, ensuring its effective functioning and support to the
program, as well as clearly articulated agreements and commitments between CARE
USA and implementing country offices.
Apart from directly managing the
Program to deliver on its goal and objectives, the Team Leader will be
deliberately look for ways to work with the broader FLJ team to promote best
practice across food and nutrition programs across CARE. As part of this
process, the Team Leader will work closely with the broader FLJ team, and also
facilitate close collaboration with other programming teams in CARE USA, as
well as country and regional program teams, and other members of CARE
International (in particular CARE UK, CARE Norway, CARE Australia, CARE Canada
and CARE Austria). Beyond these internal CARE relationships, the Pathways Team
Leader is responsible for the program’s Collaboration Strategy, in particular
building and nurturing relationships with several external organizations and
platforms that are key to the implementation, learning, advocacy, and scaling
agendas. Finally, the Team Leader will collaborate with various resource mobilization
teams, as well as country office and Regional Management units, to prioritize
Pathways for various funding opportunities.

WORK AS NEEDED
Requirements
- Masters
degree in international development, agriculture, management, or other
related degree. - 7
years or more of demonstrable experience managing development programs in
an international setting - Experience
in donor relations and resource mobilization - Working
with and leading teams - Experience
in food and livelihood security, and gender and women empowerment programs - Excellent
written and verbal communication skills in English - Program
design - Budgeting
- Advanced
written and verbal communication skills - Excellent
presentation skills
