The Position
We are currently hiring a Permanent Part-time Sales Assistant. This
person will be responsible for operating the shop when the owner is
not present and able to work in tandem when she is.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who:
• Understands the importance of the customer experience as it relates
to relationship building
• Recognizes the difference between the quick sale and building customer
loyalty
• Is passionate about the Logan & Finley ethos of: local, natural and
built to last and share this passion
• Has strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and
follow-through skills
• Sees the importance of replacing the empty toilet paper role…doing
the job that needs to be done according to the understanding of the
big picture store goals and realities of a small business.
• Having some previous Customer Service, Sales or Retail or
Merchandising Skills would be an asset

Duties
• Achieve sales goals through store performance, merchandising and
outstanding customer service
• Oversee merchandise and manage day-to-day store operations effectively
• Learn and maintain excellent product knowledge
• Perform opening and closing duties, such as re-stocking, tidying and cleaning
• Manage transactions and some bookkeeping
Please note that the ideal applicant must be available to work every
18-24 hours, every week including weekends; navigate steep stairs, do
some physical work and lift 25 lbs. Hourly rate commensurate with
experience and position.
