Media Technology Support Specialist
The Peel District School Board has three (3) positions available for Media
Support Specialists with videography, scriptwriting, storyboarding, and
audio/visual setup experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within our Learning
Technology Support Services department, working as part of a team of Media
Technology Specialists providing media support to schools and various
departments across the Peel District School Board. As a Support Specialist, you
will be expected to work closely with teachers, administrators and business
staff to ensure that media technology requirements are understood
and
effectively supported.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
More specifically, as a Media Technology Support Specialist, you will:
- design and develop various types of media, including video,
multimedia, photography and audio; - provide audio/visual support for various Board events and
functions; - provide training to staff in the effective use of a variety of
technologies in the media field; - conduct media workshops for students, including video
production, audio, and related topics; and - when the project dictates, co-ordinate other Board resources to
plan and complete projects successfully and in a timely manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
As a Media Technology Support Specialist, you will be able to apply your:
- Post-secondary education in an applicable discipline or
equivalent in experience. - Extensive experience in videography using the latest camera
technology and related equipment. - Demonstrated experience in video editing and post-production
using Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and other industry-standard
video and audio post-production software. - Experience with scriptwriting and storyboarding.
- Experience with audio/visual setups and support.
- Ability to train students and staff.
- Project management skills to produce detailed production plans
and schedules. - Excellent time management skills to handle multiple, competing
demands and priorities. - Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with Board
personnel and technical staff. - Demonstrated initiative and organizational skills.
