660News in Calgary is seeking a Full-Time Reporter. Reporting to the News
Director, the individual will be able to report in the newsroom or do live
reports in the field.
Shift is from 11 am
to 7 pm ( weekdays )
Responsibilities:
• Write, prepare and present the
most up to date, factual and credible
information
• Good knowledge of news and current affairs
• Operate the newsroom software and broadcast equipment to ensure reports are
presented professionally
• Knowledgeable of web trends and social media
• Fill in as an anchor or editor when necessary
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Experience in a
radio news department
• Graduate of a community college broadcast journalism program
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
• Must be a self-starter and energetic
• Must be detailed-oriented
• Must be able to take direction well
• Must have a valid driver’s license
