Naya Rivera’s ex-husband, Ryan Dorsey comforting their 4-year-old son after she disappeared at Lake Piru

Ryan Dorsey, the heartbroken ex-husband of missing Naya Rivera was first pictured after the Glee actress vanished from a California lake on a boat trip with her four-year – old son, Josey Dorsey.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department started looking for the actress at the reservoir on Wednesday, July 9, at about 1 pm, after she and her son failed to return a rented boat to the facilities after the three hours she paid for expired. As the staff reached the boat they realized that her son was floating alone on the boat.

Kevin Donoghue, sergeant at the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, said that Naya Rivera’s 4-year-old son, who was found alone on the boat in the middle of the lake, told investigators his mum “jumped into the water but didn’t come back up.”

The news of Naya ‘s disappearance came just hours after she posted a photo with her son on Instagram that she captioned ‘just the two of us.’

On Thursday, doting dad Ryan Dorsey was seen comforting his young son for the first time just one day after the mysterious incident.

The actor, who has shared custody of his son after divorcing Glee star Naya in June 2018, was pictured holding Josey in his arms as they left Naya’s sister’s home in Valencia, California, model Nickayla Rivera.

Friends said Wednesday the actor had ‘no idea’ that his ex took Josey to Lake Piru, near Santa Clarita.

Dorsey’s housemate told DailyMail.com that Dorsey immediately headed to the popular tourist spot in Los Angeles as soon as he was informed that their son was found alone floating on a pontoon boat.

The housemate, who asked not to be named, said: ‘Ryan headed up there as soon as their son was found to look after him. He was gone by the time I got home Wednesday.’

He added: ‘Naya has been in LA working but I don’t know where she has been living. None of us know any more than what is being reported at this time.

‘Naya hadn’t been in contact with him. She didn’t tell him what she was doing. He had no idea.

“It’s a horrible circumstance and we’re hoping for the best.’

In a statement, Sgt Kevin Donoghue of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said that more than 100 police officers and first responders are now looking for Naya ‘s body as they suspect the actress may have lost her life in the lake.
