Williams Uchemba, Nigerian Nollywood star, made lots of Nigerians shed tears out of joy after he took out a wretched family that has been living in a slum for 13 years and built them a new home.
The actor who also doubles as a comedian made that known via his Instagram page in a video post he posted Thursday.
In a previous post, Williams had narrated how he went into an undisclosed slum to distribute Covid-19 palliatives and found a certain family living right in the slum in a heartbreaking condition.
A slum is a squalid and crowded urban street or district that is inhabited by the very poor. Such places are called “Ghetto” in Nigerian pidgin parlance
What drew his interest was, according to the star, a little girl reading on a pavement and being shocked to see the essence of their room when he inquired to know where she lives.
As depicted in the shared pictures and video, the little girl, her sister Chiamaka, Chisom and their mother , Mrs. Chukwudi lived in what most Nigerians call “Batcher,” a wooden house covered with old dilapidated zinc roof and bits of cartons.
The family’s story tells us that their slum home gets flooded every time it rains.
Williams Uchemba, moved with pity, revealed that he left after distributing the palliatives determined to take the family out of the slum.
So the kindhearted philanthropist fulfilled the promise he made to himself by relocating the family to a new house he built for them on Thursday 21 May 2020.
The joy of the family knew no bounds, because in the video they kept thanking him and praying for him.
Since then the Nigerians have taken to the comment section of the video to praise and pray for the actor and comedian.
Majority of Nigerians who commented revealed that what Williams Uchemba did to that family made them shed tears out of excitement.
