Highlights of what Obaseki told corps members at the Batch ‘ B ‘ Stream II orientation

Yesterday, Edo Governor, Godwin Obaseki, charged members of the corps to have faith in the country and complimented the efforts of the federal government to move the nation forward.

During the 2019 Batch ‘ B ‘ Stream II orientation course swearing-in ceremony in Okada, the state’s Ovia North East Local Government Area, he made the call.

“My dear corps members, you need to have faith in your country, Nigeria. I am glad corps members from South South and South East are all gathered here to become one and the issues of states and religion do not separate you but rather the name, Nigeria, binds you together,” the governor said.

The Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Special Duties, Damian Lawani, also told the members of the corps to be excellent ambassadors of the system and actively engaged in the battle against financial offences, women and child trafficking, drug trafficking and other vices through programs for mass and adult literacy, community health facilities and other programs put in place

For his part, the Scheme Coordinator, Adebayo Ojo, expressed trust that the members of the corps have gained distinct abilities and experiences from the different sections of their training programs to help them move forward the state and country.
