As against his earlier schedule, President Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria from Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday 9th April, 2019 instead of the earlier planned return date of Wednesday, 10th April, 2019.
The earlier schedule revealed that the president was supposed to return to Nigeria on Wednesday at about 1:30 a.m. But the presidential aircraft carrying the president, his aides and some of his entourage touched down at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at about 10.45 p.m.
There are speculations that the president early return from Dubai is in connection with the heightened security challenges and series of killing in Zamfara, Kaduna and some other parts of the country.
The president departed the country on 4th April, 2019 for Amman in Jordan to honour an invitation by King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of Jordan to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF).
During his visit to Jordan, President Muhammadu Buhari delivered an address at the opening of the plenary alongside King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein and United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres.
After gracing the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Jordan, he left for Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday, 7th April, 2019 to participate in the ninth edition of the Annual Investment Meeting.
