One armed robber killed, three others arrested in Makurdi

According to the Nigerian Army, troops of the 72 Special Forces Battalion operating in Markurdi, the Benue State capital has  killed one suspected armed robbers dressed in military camouflage, robbing motorists on Yelwata-Kadarko road on the Nasarawa and Benue border.

The Assistant Director Army Public Relations in charge of the battalion,  Samson Zhakom  also stated that the Troops of the 72 Special Forces Battalion  has also arrested three suspected cultists who they said to have been terrorizing the North-Bank general area in Makurdi.

According to Assistant Director Army Public Relations in charge of the battalion, one locally made rifle, three rounds of 7.62MM special ammunition and one empty case of 7.62 MM Special ammunition was recovered from the armed robber. While the suspected cultist were arrested with one locally made revolver pistol, one round of 9mm and a poly bag containing weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.
