55 senior police officers affected by massive redeployment in the Nigerian Police

Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has announced a massive redeployment of senior police officers across the country. In his redeployment announcement, not less than 50 senior police officers which include commissioners of police and assistant inspector-generals were among those redeployed.

The redeployment announcement which was made by the Nigeria Police spokesperson, Frank Mba sees new commissioners of police for Anambra, Kwara, Oyo and Lagos States,

According to Mr Mba’s statement on Wednesday 6th February, 2019, he stated that in line with decoration of newly promoted Assistant Inspectors General of Police and Commissioners of Police at the Force Headquarters, the Inspector General of Police, Ag. IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has ordered the posting and redeployment of the following Senior Police Officers to Zones, Formations and Commands as follows:

  • CP Odumosu Akeem – CP Edo Command
  • CP Olukolu Sina – CP Oyo Command
  • CP Undie Andie – CP Ondo Command
  • CP Garba Danjuma – CP Kebbi Command
  • CP Celestine Okoye – CP Zamfara Command
  • CP Egbetokun Kayode – CP Kwara Command
  • CP Ibrahim Kaoje – CP Sokoto Command
  • CP Etim Ene Okon – CP Abia Command
  • CP Dandaura Mustafa – CP Anambra Command

In a concluding remark, Mr Mba stated that The Inspector General of Police charges the AIGs and CPs to diligently and professionally discharge their duties according to the Laws, Rules and Regulations of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. And stressed that the posting and the redeployment of the affected Senior Police Officers is with immediate effect.
