Who is a patient?

Oxford Dictionary defines as a person receiving or
registered to medical treatment. Patient according to the Free Encyclopaedia is
any recipient of health care services. The patient is most often ill or injured
and in need of treatment by a physician, physician assistant, advances practice
registered nurse, psychologists, paediatrics, veterinarian or other health care
provider. The word patient originally means one who suffers. This English noun
comes from the Latin word patient.

According to dictionary.com, a patient is a person who

health care services is mainly dependent on the duration and efficiency of
care, and how emphatic and communicative the health care provider are. It is favourable
by a good doctor patient relationship. Also patient who are well informed of
the necessary procedures in a clinical encounter and the time it is expected to
take are generally more satisfied even if there is a long waiting time.
