International in Rwanda is seeking to recruit a “Partners Capacity Building
Professional
“to be based in Kigali.
Job
Purpose statement
The
Partners Capacity Building Professional is responsible for coordinating
implementing partners’ capacity building. S/he wil

l support them to understand
and comply with CARE’s sub-contracting procedures and donors Rules &
Regulations at all levels. S/he will support partners to implement recommendations
from different audits/ due diligence and will facilitate partners’
institutional capacity strengthening. The capacity building Professional will
work closely with Contracts & Grants staff, Project Managers, Heads of
Departments and Senior Management Team to achieve outline outlined
expectations.

The
position will also ensure, based on due diligence and audit recommendations,
that institutional capacity of partners is strengthened through organizational,
financial and administrative systems enhancement.
The
role further contributes to building relationships with partners, carrying out
capacity and due diligence assessments as per the need, following up with
capacity building activities and support partners to implement their
organizational capacity building plans.
Requirements
for the Role
Educational
Qualifications:
  • University
    degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or
    related fields
Job
related experience:
  • At
    least 5 years of experience in Organizations ’capacity building,
  • Knowledgeable
    in Grants, Contract and Sub Grant Management with an International NGO and
    diversified donors,
  • Experience
    working with local NGOs,
  • Experience
    in risk management
Technical
skills:
  • Excellent
    self-organization skills and capacity to adapt and monitor processes for
    budget management;
  • Able
    to look at issues from various perspectives and provide thorough and quick
    guidance;
  • Computer
    skills (Advanced command of MS Excel, Power Point etc.);
  • Operational
    experience including planning, development and implementation of
    operational activities;
  • Excellent
    communication skills (written and verbal in English and French);
  • Highly
    motivated to maintain a regular dialogue with CARE’s partner
    organizations;
  • Skills
    in team work, facilitation and training;
  • Excellent
    facilitation skills;
  • Ability
    to work in a diverse team.
