Tauondi
Aboriginal College
 is
seeking a full-time Compliance Officer who will be responsible for accurate
regulatory compliance, including development and maintenance of the RTO’s
accreditation with the AQF specifications, the standards for the National VET
Regulator (NVR). Implement a systematic monitoring system to identify any
compliance deficiencies, evaluate and recommend strategies to minimise the
potential impact on Tauondi Aboriginal C

ollege. Develop training and assessment
resources which are compliant and customised to suite Tauondi’s students in
collaboration with vocational trainers.

Tauondi
Aboriginal College is an interdisciplinary teaching and training organisation
governed by an elected Aboriginal Directors. Tauondi has been delivering
accredited and non-accredited training to Aboriginal people for over 40 years
by providing specifically designed training programs, delivered in a culturally
appropriate learning environment. Tauondi continues to be a significant
Aboriginal Community organisation in the SA Aboriginal Community.
Do
you possess the following essential skills, attributes and capabilities to be a
part of Tauondi’s Compliance Team?
  • Comprehensive
    knowledge of Quality Standards and legislation including the NVR Act,
    Standards for RTO’s 2015, WHS
  • Ability
    to deconstruct and apply regulations, standards and acts
  • Energy,
    innovation and self-motivation
  • 5
    years+ extensive experience working within an educational setting
    (experience working within an RTO will be highly regarded)
  • Training
    and assessment resource development
  • Relevant
    higher level VET or tertiary qualification would be highly regarded in
    this role, including but not limited to
    • Adult
      Training and Assessment
    • Quality
      Systems Management
    • Relevant
      auditing qualification at Diploma level or higher
  • Ability
    to recognise where culturally appropriate change is needed and be
    proactive in addressing change
  • Ability
    to work autonomously and within a team environment.
Some
work outside standard hours will be required. Salary is negotiable according to
qualifications and experience. Educational Services (Port-Secondary Education)
Award rates will be paid.  Position is for an initial contract for 12
month – demand driven extension may be available after 12 months.
