empowering girls with its entertaining and informative brand and products.

more importantly, when they do their feelings of self-worth, value and
confidence grow too.
Girl
Effect has ambitious growth plans to expand our suite of products to include a
radio drama in 2017. In order to achieve this, Girl Effect is looking for a
partner with strong networks in the drama and theatre world, a passion for
managing people and nurturing talent and a keen eye for detail and project
management. This is about putting Ni Nyampinga at the forefront of Rwanda’s
creative and media industries, empowering girls and catalyzing change in the
process. This partner should either be an individual with their own company, or
a company who would be able to work with Girl Effect to manage and contract
actors. This company will follow Ni Nyampinga’s procedures and standards to
hire and manage actors.

Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working
alongside Ni Nyampinga’s drama production partner and Ni Nyampinga
production manager to lead the casting process for all actors for the
drama. - Running
audition process and finalizing cast alongside key stakeholders. - Contracting
cast and managing their schedules – both for rehearsals, recordings,
training and other brand requirements. - Ensuring
the highest quality of acting and musical performance, alongside
professionalism from all actors. - Coordinate
with music producer, production manager and production partner’s director
to ensure clear schedules for the team and full integration across all
departments. - Identify
actor’s training needs and manage and organise key trainings for actors to
fit those needs. - Managing
production partners to ensure all Ni Nyampinga girl safeguarding policies
and brand values are adhered to at every step of production. - Working
with Ni Nyampinga Brand Team to ensure Ni Nyampinga editorial principles and
tone of voice is adhered to in editorial products and relevant Girl Effect
Rwanda initiatives - Supporting
actors to represent Rwandan girls on the global and local stage when
required

Skills and Qualities (required):
Skills and Qualities (required):
- 3-5
years’ experience of working in theatre or drama - Excellent
people and project management skills - Good
networks within the theatrical and drama world - Excellent
spoken and written Kinyarwanda and English - Intimate
knowledge of Rwandan culture - An
understanding of brands and how they work with editorial content - A
highly developed theatrical and dramatic awareness and appreciation of
audio storytelling - Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills - Ability
to be creative under pressure - Proven
ability to lead, develop and mentor a team - An
understanding of how to successfully work with a global, cross cultural
team - Knowledge
of contracting processes for actors - Ability
to sub-contract and manage all HR processes involving actors, while
following Ni Nyampinga regulations and standards. - Working
knowledge of Rwandan legal frameworks around arts and culture, actors and
performance

- Experience
of training actors – particularly inexperienced young people - Ability
to consider content across a variety of media platforms (magazine,
digital, radio) - Knowledge
of Girls’, women and gender rights.
