Internships will
offer entry-level post-masters experience in a multifaceted HIV research
setting to professionals of diverse academic backgrounds. This internship is
intended to recruit elite local professionals for future long-term employment
opportunities.

Projet San Francisco
is a research site of the

Rwanda Zambia HIV Research Group (RZHRG). RZHRG has
been a global leader in the fight against HIV/AIDS for more than 25 years,
supporting prevention programs and research in Kigali, Rwanda (Projet San
Francisco) and in Ndola and Lusaka, Zambia (ZEHRP). Operating from Emory
University, RZHRG programs include couples voluntary counseling and testing,
couples family planning and counseling with the provision of long acting
reversible contraceptives; research among key populations; data management and
analysis; molecular work in the laboratories; and financial and administrative
management. RZHRG is committed to supporting Couples Voluntary Counseling and
Testing (CVCT) as an effective and economical way to decrease HIV/AIDS
transmission throughout sub-Saharan Africa. Much of the work RZHRG conducts
relies on collaboration with local and international organizations.

–  Applicants
must be Rwandan citizens living in-country.

–  Medical
doctors or master’s degree in a relevant field of study required, ideally
focused on HIV (i.e. epidemiology, statistics, laboratory sciences, public
health, medicine, finance, or administration; though other fields may be
considered).a

–  Exception:
Second-year masters students who are available during business hours may also
apply. 

– Stipend
amounts will be determined based on applicant qualifications and capacity to
contribute to core organizational needs.

– Duration: 12
months.

submit a cover letter, 2-3 page CV, and at least 2 references with contact
information to jobs@rzhrg-mail.org.
The deadline for submission is August 5, 2016. The email subject line should
read: “Kigali Internship Application”. Applications not meeting these
requirements will not be considered.
