Description:
Designs, develops, layouts, documents and supervises manufacturing, testing and
application of contactor and test interface solutions. Interfaces with
customer, supplier, sales, and customer service engineer and team members with
minimal guidance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follow engineering procedures and specifications to develop
contactor related mechanical designs. Generate Design Documentation, detail
part drawings per DIN standards, Assembly drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Designs and monitors the development of contactors and/or
modified designs.
• Effects kit design refinement and/or advancement to meet
constant changes in customer preferences or requirements.
• Provides services to contactor users on test applications
and technology.
• Actively participates in all phases of the project,
including requirement definition, design, development, research, fabrication,
testing/integration, customer interface, maintenance, safety and economic
utilization used in the manufacture of contactors.
• Modify fabricated parts from redlined drawings or verbal
instruction.
• Generate Engineering Change Orders and Bill of materials
• Assures on-time availability of contactor design to
manufacturing and customers.
• Support manufacturing floor as required.
• Other duties as requested.
Job
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
• Experience: 2 years in machine design for automation
equipment/robotics and/or pneumatic systems or 2 years’ experience with
mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Skills/Technical Requirements: Advanced knowledge of latest
release of Solid Works and
• AutoCAD. Working knowledge of DIN Standards and Microsoft
Office Software; Trigonometry level math skills. Ability to independently
anticipate, prioritize and manage multiple priorities and to communicate
effectively, orally and in writing.
• Physical Demands/Strengths: Prolonged periods of sitting at
the computer terminal. Must be able to work in vicinity or moving machinery to
observe mechanisms. Occasional exertion, able to lift 30 pounds.
• Job Conditions: Works in office environment; minimal time
spent in production environment with constant or intermittent noise.
• Protective Devices Required: PPE in required areas.
