economic clusters tasked to ensure Rwanda’s vision 2020 economic aspirations
are achieved. To su

Currently,
we are looking for hiring 3 Financial Analysts and 2 Legal Analysts to work in
the Strategic Investment Department (SID).  Interested and eligible
candidate(s) are invited to apply.
1)     
FINANCIAL ANALYST (3)
Duties
and Responsibilities
  • Build
    and analyze financial models for RDB’s investment transactions, including
    to determine viability of different business models and/or company
    valuations
  • Provide
    advice to the Head of SID on issues relating to investment appraisal,
    project viability, projects risks , investment structuring and company
    valuation
  • Help
    RDB’s negotiation teams develop the appropriate negotiation strategy with
    private investors
  • Where
    appropriate, coach non-financial staff within the team on key financial
    issues
  • Where
    appropriate, train more junior financial staff on financial modeling and
    financial analysis
  • Provide
    regular reports as per RDB requirements
Selection
Criteria:
  • An
    MBA or a Masters with specialization in Finance, or Project Finance. 
    Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA or CFA would be an added
    advantage
  • At
    least 3 years of relevant professional experience related to finance and
    investment. Familiarity with Project Finance, or Public Private
    Partnerships is highly desirable
  • Excellent
    financial analysis and modeling skills with respect to medium to large
    private and/or public-private investments
  • Strong
    analytical and problem solving skills and sound business judgment to
    identify issues and present creative and practical solutions
  • Investment
    negotiation experience is highly desirable but not required
  • Excellent
    written and  oral  communication skills in English; the
    knowledge of French is an added value,
  • Excellent
    presentation skills including a demonstrated ability to communicate
    complex ideas clearly and tactfully to a variety of audiences
  • Capacity
    to work under pressure and meet the deadlines
  • Ability
    to work in a multicultural working environment.
2)     
LEGAL ANALYST (2)
Duties
and Responsibilities
  • Conduct
    legal analysis and develop recommendations with respect to legal aspects
    of investment proposals involving RDB.
  • Conduct
    or lead negotiations of investments on behalf of RDB and coordination of
    negotiations with stakeholders.
  • Support
    the Head of the SID in the overall negotiation process.
  • Support
    the Head of SID in selecting /prioritizing investment projects.
  • Collaborate
    with  the Head of SID in reporting systems
Selection
Criteria:
  • A
    Masters in Law. A Juris Doctor (JD) in law would be an added advantage.
  • At
    least 3 years of relevant professional experience related to
    corporate/commercial transactions in a reputable law firm.
  • Excellent
    analytical and contract drafting skills
  • Excellent
    written and  oral  communication skills in English; the
    knowledge of French is an added value,
  • Excellent
    presentation skills including a demonstrated ability to communicate
    complex ideas clearly and tactfully to a variety of audiences
  • Capacity
    to work under pressure and meet the deadlines
  • Ability
    to work in a multicultural working environment.
