Description:
We
are looking for an experienced Data & IT Manager to oversee the
development and use of data systems, specifically POS, CRM, and SCM systems.
You will discover efficient ways to organize, store and analyze data with
attention to security and confidentiality.
The
ideal candidate will have a

strong understanding of databases and data analysis
procedures. You will also be tech-savvy and possess excellent troubleshooting
skills.

The
goal is to ensure that useful information flows timely and securely to and from
the organization as well as within.

Inyenyeri:
Inyenyeri
is a high-growth energy start-up, dedicated to eliminating household air
pollution and reversing the national wood deficit in Rwanda. Inyenyeri utilizes
an innovative business model to provide the world’s cleanest solid biomass
cook-stoves and fuel pellets to its customers at affordable monthly prices.
Headquartered in Gisenyi, Inyenyeri currently has over 70 employees and plans
to rapidly expand its team as it scales the business model across Rwanda.
Data
Management Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate
    with senior management to formulate techniques for quality data collection
    to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
  • Liaise
    with vendors to develop, implement, and maintain robust CRM, POS, and SCM
    systems
  • Train
    all relevant stakeholders in proper data collection and use of data
    systems
  • Troubleshoot
    data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications
  • Devise
    and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and
    analysis with attention to all technical aspects
  • Monitor
    and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to
    discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
  • Produce
    ad-hoc data analysis as necessary in addition to monthly, quarterly, and
    annual data reports
  • Ensure
    digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and
    data losses
IT
Management Responsibilities:
  • Manage
    software and fleet of computer systems and mobile devices across all
    functional areas of Inyenyeri ensuring reliability and security
  • Recommend
    information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating
    organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends;
    anticipating requirements.
  • Implement
    disaster recovery and back-up procedures for information security
  • Coordinate
    procurement of computer hardware and software to support the
  • Support
    the Inyenyeri team in the daily use of software, computer systems, and
    mobile devices and ensure adherence to company standards
Requirements:
  • Proven
    experience in data management & IT management
  • Excellent
    understanding of data administration and management functions (collection,
    analysis, distribution etc.)
  • Experience
    managing vendors/suppliers and implementation of data system
  • Familiarity
    with modern database and information system technologies
  • Excellent
    knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer
    hardware/software systems
  • Familiarity
    with basic statistical analysis techniques
  • Proficient
    in MS Office (Excel, Word etc.)
  • Self-motivated
  • Well
    organized and detail-oriented
  • An
    analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Excellent
    communication and collaboration skills
  • BSc/BA
    in computer science or relevant field
  • Fluency
    in English is required (Kinyarwanda desired)
