Background:
The
three-year (2016-2018) Project will involve:

- Innovative
integrated rural development with a focus on intensive agriculture
production and community mobilisation. - Managing
intensive casual labour for land terracing and rehabilitation of feeder
roads and bridges. - Construction
of the Sector Community Center Hall and the Sector Crops Storage Facility. - Development
of the Livestock and agriculture value chains including post-harvest
handling and marketing. - Management
and facilitation of income generation activities, savings and credit and
cooperative management. - Building
the capacity of community-based groups through tailor-made training
modules to empower the participants to sustain project activitiesbeyond
the project’s lifetime.

Reporting
to the Programme Manager, the Candidate will provide guidance and professional
leadership in the construction of the Sector Community Hall; the Sector Crops
Facility; and the rehabilitation of feeder roads and construction of bridges.

Requirements
The
Candidate will have:

- At
least 5-years’ demonstrable field experience in related work. - At
least a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. - A
Master’s degree will be an added advantage, but not a selection criterion. - Willingness
to live full-time in the Ruganda Sector.
Duration
- The
Civil Engineer will be hired for a period of 2 years.
