Description
The
holder of this position will lead the implementation of tools, processes,
policies and practices covering all aspects of Logistics and Transport. To
succeed in this position you will need must be ready to get actively involved
in the resolution of logistical issues and to liaise with multiple stakeholders
and effectively manage logistics service providers. The In

ventory and Logistics
Associate is in charge of picking, packing and shipping goods as well as receiving
deliveries from suppliers. The right hire for this position is organized,
learns the steps of a process quickly, and ensures that those same steps are
carried out every time. This person is a good team player and is willing handle
some light physical work in a warehouse environment.

Main
tasks and duties
  • Build
    strong relationships with transporters, courier services, clearing agents,
    freight forwarders, and other logistics and transportation service
    providers 
  • Seek,
    evaluate and recommend logistics service providers with strong focus on
    price control
  • Resolve
    logistical challenges arising from failure by internal and external
    stakeholders to meet expected deadline or performance benchmarks
  • Report
    periodically on logistics activities and active shipments
  • Perform
    general physical activities in warehouse: sorting and moving products and
    materials manually and using material handling equipment.
  • Fill
    and complete order receipts, and assembled orders in appropriate packages
  • Inspect
    deliveries from suppliers and sign delivery notes
  • Stock
    shelves and keep inventory clean and organized
  • Fill
    out forms and waybill to record measurement, weight, and product count.
  • Perform
    regular physical count of inventory.

  • Ability
    to work in multicultural teams

    verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention
    to details
  • Good
    knowledge of Excel, Word, and ability to use the internet
  • Flexibility
    to adapt to rapidly evolving responsibilities
Desired
requirements
  • Certificate
    or diploma in logistics, supply chain, or business management or any other
    relevant field
  • Experience
    in warehousing, stock-taking or Transport
  • Ability
    to work independently
