World
Vision International (Rwanda) is a child focused Christian humanitarian
organization implementing development programs in 15 Districts of Rwanda.
World
Vision seeks to hire highly qualified, dedicated and experienced nationals for
the position of Enumerator. This a temporary job and successful
candidates will be called upon whenever need arises.
 Purpose
of the position:
To
ensure quality quantitative and qualitative data collection for both
sponsorship and grant funded programs and projects

that are designed to
contribute to the sustained well-being of children, especially the most
vulnerable. Support Programs & projects DME data collection activity to
ensure evidence-based programming.

The
major responsibilities:
  • Attend
    the training sessions, study the Questionnaire and the purpose of the
    survey carefully and understand them thoroughly.
  • Support
    Programs & projects Quantitative data collection activities through
    household survey
  • Ensure
    Qualitative data are effectively collected through Focus Group Discussions
    (FGDs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs)
  • Participate
    in data-entry exercise with maximum integrity and high level accuracy
  • Ensure
    that data collection devices and/or tools (tablets and smart
    phones/paper-based survey tools) are properly taken care of
  • Double
    check information on survey forms or information pads to ensure the
    accuracy of information
  • Identify
    and report any issues that may arise while attempting to obtain valid data
  • Ensure
    that supervisor is kept abreast of completed assignments and progress
  • Compile
    reports of information derived from household surveys, FGDs and/or KIIs
    activities and ensure that they are vetted by the supervisor
  • Ensuring
    good collaboration with World Vision partners and the community during
    field work
Qualifications: 
Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The
following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education,
prior experience or on-the-job training:
  • Minimum
    Qualification required
    :
    • Bachelor
      Degree in the field of Economics, Statistics, Social Sciences or related
      field.
    • Must
      have been involved at least in two household surveys.
    • Must
      have a clear vision of the key accountabilities, and be determined to
      achieve all set targets in line with short, medium and long term targets
      and objectives.
    • Ability
      to work with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent
      negotiation skills.
    • Computer
      literacy (at least good command of word and excel)
    • Excellent
      knowledge of English language and Kinyarwanda.
    • Must
      demonstrate positive social values with excellent teamwork spirit
