VFR needs to recruit
a savings mobiliser & Marketing personnel on a 6 months contract
confirmation

upon satisfactory
performance that will be responsible for leading all marketing activities and
savings

mobilization.

Main
responsibilities

As a contract staff
you will be working closely with clients and the Management team in Business

development,
specialized in Savings Mobilization, Branding and Projects. Your main
responsibilities

will be:

Identify and
convert prospects into savings clients (new account opening)

  • Identify
    potential savings clients
  • Open
    new savings accounts in designated territory
  • Educate
    prospective clients on the benefits of savings products
  • Follow
    up and convert leads/referrals received from field officers, customer
    servicing team (promotions) and other employees
  • Actively
    seek referrals from existing clients
  • Set
    targets for Savings Mobilization and achieve.
    Manage Clients
  • Actively
    manage clients to ensure continuous savings Culture.
  • Maintain
    targeted quarterly average balance
  • To
    design strategies that will increase the public’s awareness on VFR’s
    products and services
  • To
    develop marketing plans, tools, and techniques that will boost VFR’s market
    share
  • To
    manage special project at VFR as assigned.
    Main tasks on marketing
    section
  • Develops
    cost-efficient and effective marketing strategies and tools that are
    appropriate for the desired market. Should regularly upgrades/ enhances
    these marketing strategies and tools;
  • Pilot
    test these marketing strategies and tools before rollout to the whole
    institution; Reviews results of pilot test; and Refines these strategies
    and tools
  • Develops
    a marketing and selling training module in coordination with the People,
    Culture and Integration department; Assists the latter in delivering the
    module to the operations staff; Provides on-the-job coaching to operations
    staff, if necessary;
  • In the
    immediate term, reviews the corporate color, logo, and other identity; and
    base on expertise, determines ways to improve them;
  • Develops
    “attractive” name and packaging for every loan and deposit product, and
    other services, if any;
  • Packages
    a marketing prospectus for the institution meant for investors, donors,
    credit providers, technical groups Updates the marketing prospectus;

Prepares the annual
budget for marketing efforts; Reviews the budget quarterly;Determines/ monitors
the impact of the marketing efforts by relating them to changes in operational
indicators;Regularly monitors the marketing strategies and tools that
competitors use, and assess effectiveness;Prepares press releases meant for
national dailies, and if there is an opportunity, for international
releases;Work on strategies to improve the Public Relations of VFRWork with
People, Culture and Integration department to develop and distribute a
semi-annual Newsletter.Initiate and write funding proposals for VFR’s special
projects.Co-ordinate and help the implementation of KIVA’s WV Micro and other
funding partnerships.Ensure that VFR maintains a good relations with
Stakeholders in the MFLead and drive new product development initiatives.Drive
the marketing initiatives of VFR Mobile Banking,Any other task that may be
assigned by the supervisor from time to time

Required
Skills:

< >Minimum 5
years of selling /Marketing experience in the financial sector.Knowledge and
experience on technologyStrong knowledge of MS Office ToolsStrong analytical
profile with critical and logical thinkingDelivering quality services and
dedicated to customer satisfactionExcellent communication skills and a team
playerHaving good communication skills (English as primary)
