We
are currently recruiting for an experienced Rwandese national for the following
positions:
1.Sustainable
Livelihood  Lead ( Contract Type: Open-Ended)
Sustainable
Livelihood Lead will be responsible and accountable for a high quality, high
impact and effective sustainable/integrated Oxfam Rwanda programme through
innovative programme approaches/models that meets the needs of targeted poor
people, partners and/or institutions. He/she will work with both internal and
external strategic stakeholders for effective programme coordination,
convening, facilitation and advocacy to ensure greater influence and scale of
the programme.
The
person will be overseeing all projects/grants management of livelihoods work in
Rwanda to ensure high quality financial and non-financial compliance. He/she will
be responsible for managing and coordinating fundraising for Oxfam’s work under
the programme.
The
person will also be responsible for quarterly reporting on key quality and
performance indicators to the Country Leadership Team.
As
a Team Lead, he/she will provide leadership on the Oxfam livelihoods programme
team in Kigali office and performance management of staff.He/she will;
  • Responsible
    for planning, reporting and management of the programme plans
  • Responsible
    for ensuring that Gender and climate change adaptation are well
    mainstreamed into all of Oxfam’s livelihoods work in Rwanda
  • Responsible
    for linkages with Oxfam global work on gendered enterprise and markets and
    other key initiatives forming the basis for Oxfam’s sustainable
    livelihoods work in Rwanda.
  • Provide
    programmatic input to the Oxfam advocacy strategy and deliverables in
    relation to livelihoods issues
  • Ensure
    effective internal and external communication around the sustainable
    livelihoods work as per the Oxfam Communications Strategy for Rwanda
  • Representation
    of Oxfam in relation to sustainable livelihoods work with stakeholders in
    Rwanda
  • Development
    and design of gendered enterprise and markets projects in line with Oxfam
    Country Strategy and Enterprise Development plan
  • Ensure
    effective internal communication, linkages and learning around the
    sustainable livelihoods work within OI.
To
be successful for this post, you will have be a professional in understanding
of grassroots development principles and models relevant for Rwanda in
generally and producer group specifically, having knowledge and understanding
of the role of markets and the private sector in Rwanda as related to
small-scale productions including agriculture, with degree in Livelihoods
specialising in agriculture, enterprise development, private sector development
and related disciplines, have at least 3 – 5 years of experience at Management
level with knowledge and understanding of the role of grassroots organisations
in supporting development of small-scale farmers and producers and ability to
manage relationships with donors, private sector partners, government
institutions, INGOs, civil society etc.
Having
high level of programme management skills – including communication,
organisation, training, planning and strong financial management skills and
excellent communication skills with Mandatory fluency in written and spoken
English.
