Purpose
of the job
The
jobholder will take the overall responsibility for the successful initiation,
planning, design, and implement the execution plan to make sure AIF is ready to
deliver products to WFP and Government of Rwanda timely and in conformity with
WFP-AIF purchasing agreement.
He/she
is tasked to connect all relevant AIF disciplines and capabilities and put in
place a process  to ensure that the products are ready and delivered by
1st October 2016.
Key
Responsibilities
The
jobholder will be responsible for performing the following duties:
  • Create
    and define scope of the project implementation plan
  • Execute
    the project implementation until handover to operations management.
  • Connect
    all relevant AIF disciplines (Quality Assurance/Control, Manufacturing,
    Sales& Distribution, Demand Chain Management, Finance and General
    Management) to ensure that all stakeholders perform their key roles
    towards a successful delivery of products to WFP and GoR
  • Set
    up a monitoring system to track progress of execution of plan. Update all
    tracking sheets and documents related to the project.
  • Assess
    risks and advise on risks mitigation measures
  • Report
    weekly and monthly and when requested, on project status and progress,
    issues and risks
  • Organize
    and lead weekly follow-up/evaluation meetings
  • Ensure
    that all interim milestones as defined in execution plan are met
Knowledge
and educational level
Educational
level
  • Master’s
    Degree level in Business, Supply & Demand Chain Management or any
    other relevant discipline.  Project Management Professional
    Certification is an advantage.
Required
level of experiences
  • Minimum
    of 5 years’ experience in managing projects in areas such as Production,
    Agricultural, Agro processing, Product Development, or any other relevant
    area.
  • In
    depth knowledge of Project Management
