Finance & Admin Manager
Location – Kigali, Rwanda
MeshPower is an exciting startup

company developing and
implementing innovative solutions to the problem of rural electrification. We
develop and operate smart, remotely-monitored, solar-powered nanogrids. Through
these nanogrids MeshPower offers electricity services such as lighting and
mobile phone charging to households and businesses.

Responsibilities
  •  
Managing accounts for
grants.
  •  
Working with our
accountants to make monthly and quarterly filings – withholding tax, VAT, etc.
  •  
Monthly payroll.
  •  
Managing Human
Resource record keeping.
  •  
Financial
bookkeeping.
  •  
Maintaining our
online accounting software – Xero.com.
  •  
Financial reports and
reconciliations.
  •  
Cash management.
  •  
Managing of Admin
staff.
  •  
Any other
responsibilities as required.
Required skills
  •  
Highly proficient in
both verbal and written English.
  •  
Excellent typing
speed and high competency with word processing and spreadsheet programs
(familiarity with Google’s suite of online office products is a plus).
  •  
Organised and
conscientious.
  •  
University graduate.
Preferably with a business, finance or accounting degree.
Desirable skills
  •  
Accounting work
experience.
  •  
Experience of online
accounting systems, in particular Xero.com.
Remuneration
The salary will be competitive and commensurate with the
applicant’s level of experience.
