Catholic Relief
Service is seeking for a Partnership
Support Officer for its program, the EKN project, a three year,
Embassy of Kingdom of Netherlands -funded program which aims to improve the
nutritional status of pregnant women, lactating mothers and children under two
years of age, with an emphasis on the first 1,000 days of life. In the two
districts of Muhanga a
nd Karongi, EKN provides strategic support the Government
of Rwanda’s efforts towards its national goal of reducing stunting at a
decentralized level, through its integrated approach combining
nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive program activities at community
level. CRS further works to strengthen implementing partners to support
the two districts to operationalize their District multisectoral Plans for the
Elimination of Malnutrition (DPEMs).
The Partnership
Support Officer will support a mutually supportive partnership and maintain
regular communication, networking, cooperation, partnership and collaboration
with implementing partners. S/he will support implementing partners to
reinforce program uptake at community level and ensure compliance in
programmatic and financial reporting.
The
successful candidate will at minimum have the following Qualifications, Skills
and abilities:
- At
least a Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences or related
field with at least 3 years working experience in administrative tasks,
projects with a community engagement element, reports writing, budget
management - Strong
experience in working with sub-granted local partners organizations, with
demonstrated results - Experience
in programmatic and financial reporting - Basic
experience principles/approached to M&E of development programs - Previous
experience in developing and managing partnerships - Demonstrated
commitment to gender-responsive programming - Fluency
in English (written and spoken). French would be an asset - Excellent
oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with people,
good judgment and commitment to CRS’ mission - Ability
to transfer knowledge through formal and informal training - Willingness
to travel approximately 40% of the time to remote areas of the country - Proficiency
in computer literacy and abilities in analyzing, interpreting and
communicating information to various stakeholders - Good
knowledge of the health system in Rwanda - Be
Rwandan by nationality
