Send a Cow is a
growing and dynamic Christian international development charity, working with
all faiths and none. We provide livestock, seeds, training, and ongoing support
to small farmers in Africa. We aim to give poor families and communities
the hope and the means to secure th
eir own futures from the land, in line with
our vision of a confident and thriving rural Africa.
Since our inception
in 1988, we have evolved a practical and effective model in sustainable organic
agriculture and social development, which enables the smallholder to achieve
both food security and the equal benefits of health, education, social cohesion
and gender equality.
We have been working
in Rwanda for over 15 years and have secured several large grants to support
and grow our work with several groups in Kayonza, Rwamagana, Bugesera, Nyanza,
Nyaruguru and Rulindo Districts. We are looking for a Country Director who will
build on this success to grow and develop our established programs while
seeking new and innovative opportunities.
This is an incredibly
diverse role, which will require you to be an exceptional leader, who is both
strategic and pragmatic, with the ability to network, secure funding and
deliver high quality impacts for the communities with whom we work. You will be
able to demonstrate that you have a real passion for making a difference to the
lives of the poorest of the poor.
You must have the
relevant visas to work in Rwanda, be prepared to travel internationally and be
able to provide Christian leadership.
