Opportunity at CRS/Rwanda

Catholic Relief Service is seeking for a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability
and Learning (MEAL) Officer for the Integrated Nutrition and WASH Activity
(INWA),  a five-year, USAID-funded initiative. The MEAL Officer will carry
out data collection activities related to nutrition, WASH, and gender for the
INWA project, in accordance with CRS MEAL policies and procedures. The MEAL
Officer will also serve a primary mentorship role for local civil soci

ety
organizations as they implement MEAL activities.

The successful candidate will at minimum have the following Qualifications,
Skills and abilities:

•    Bachelor’s degree in a field related to international
development, plus two years of professional experience in MEAL
programming.  Academic background in statistics helpful.
•    Familiarity with principles and current approaches to MEAL
of development programs using both quantitative and qualitative methods
•    Proficiency in analyzing, interpreting and communicating
information to various stakeholders
•    Experience with USAID MEAL requirements preferred
•    Previous experience working with local partner
organizations
•    Previous experience with operations research and carrying
out mixed-method data collection in the field
•    Previous experience developing management information
systems
•    Demonstrated commitment to gender-responsive programming
•    Fluency in English and French, written and spoken
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to
work well with people, good judgment and commitment to CRS’ mission
•    Ability to transfer knowledge through formal and informal
training
•    Willingness to travel frequently to remote areas of the
country for data collection and training activities
•    Rwandan nationality
