Various ways people use to extract information without the consent of the organisation using health information system

Password Theft: Password theft happens in health information
system when the password of an authorised user gets into the hands of an
unauthorised user. This is very common when users write their passwords in a
piece of paper and it get to the hands of an unauthorised person.

Hacking: Hacking of health information system is when an
unauthorised person gained access into patient’s medical data by exploring the
vulnerability of the data network.

Cracking: Cracking is a situation when an unauthorised
person was able to gaining access into health information data either by
guessing or manipulating passwords of a secured system. This is usually common
when authorised users use passwords that can be easily guess or manipulated or
through the introduction of a password acquiring virus into a system.
