Bvumbwe Community SACCO an affiliated to Malawi Union
of Savings and credit Cooperatives Ltd (MUSCCO) is looking for a suitably
qualified person to fill the information Technology officer position based at
Bvumbwe Head Office, The IT Officer connect the customer and IT dept, This
position is the first point of contact for IT queries, providing answers and
dimple solutions to enable continued use of their IT systems, The IT Officer
reports directly to the SACCO Manager
Respond to requests for technical assistance by pho
ne, email or using a help
desk book logbook, and provide first line support for users with IT issues and
problems, Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware, operating system, and
software related problems and issues with WAN, VLAN, firewall, VPN, etc,
systems, ensure availability of systems and compliance to Service Level
Agreements, Forward technical support issues to MUSCO IT Dept and act as a
liaison between customers and technical escalation teams, Log all issues in the
Help desk Tracking System, track issues to resolution, update the internal
knowledge base, and communicate learning’s with relevant business units, Ensure
that daily, weekly, and monthly statistics , status reports, and graphical
reporting aids are completed and continually modified to meet the needs of the
dept, Contribute to departmental productivity and development objectives by
participating in training programs, Recommend
systems improvements or developments to the Manager
Diploma in Computer Studies Information Technology or its equivalent, Have at
least 2 yrs experience in Computer Operations, Knowledge and experience in
Accounting and banking Software, Demonstrate strong knowledge in Database
Management Systems e.g. SQL 2008 server and Networking and server operating
system such as windows 2003 server, Possess high degree of integrity and
ability to work with minimum supervision, Those with experience in banking software
will have an added advantage, Ability to work under pressure
