Project Description:
CBEHPP
The CBEHPPLab Technician will play a critical role in conducting
our impact evaluation of the Community Based Environmental Health Promotion
Programme (CBEHPP). CBEHPP seeks to improve health through
education and community participation by training local community members to
lead weekly health club meetings. These meetings are designed to educate
participants about safe hygiene, sanitation, and other health behaviors.
Innovations for Poverty Action is currently preparing for the endline
evaluation of this programme, with endline data collection to begin in
September 2015, and the Lab Technician will begin in September2015 in order to
receive training. The study which the Lab Technician will support includes more
than 9,000 households in 150 villages and will generate evidence about the
health and economic impacts of health clubs on households, with a focus on the
impact on children age 5 and under. Our findings will help to inform the work
of the Ministry of Health and that of our implementing partner in their current
and future programs.
