Support and Development Officer – Burnie
Do you have a passion for working with young children and their families? Do
you enjoy community engagement work and performing a role that gives back to
the community? Playgroup Tasmania is a not for profit organisation providing a
vital network of playgroup services to families with young children and is
currently seeking to employ a number of Playgroup Support and Development
officers. This role provides ongoing support to Playgroup Tasmania members and
a number of playgroup models delivered state wide. Duties include Playgroup
development, support and establishment, workshop delivery, delivery of family
focussed playgroup events and sector relationship development in conjunction
with Playgroup Tasmania’s CEO .The occupant of this position will be part of a
field team who is responsible for the delivery of the community playgroup
program and member service programs safely, efficiently and effectively in
accordance with Playgroup Tasmania’s funding agreements, delegations and
formal policies (Board and administrative).

To have these skills below would be an advantage.
- Certificate
II or III in Community and/or Children’s Services as a minimum would
be an advantage. - Experience
and or qualifications in the Social/Human Science Services,
Early Childhood Education will be highly regarded. - Experience
in programming and deliverance of high quality activities and
play experiences for young children. - Proven
experience in working with children or families from a disadvantaged
background or who have additional needs. - Proven
experience in networking with communities. - Experience
in member-service and social development environments will be highly
regarded. - Train
the Trainer qualifications would be an advantage. (Certificate 4 in
training and assessment)
