World
Vision International (Rwanda) is a child focused Christian humanitarian
organization implementing development programs in 15 Districts of Rwanda.
World
Vision Rwanda seeks to hire a highly qualified, dedicated and experienced
national for the position of CORE
Project Coordinator
. One position will be based in Rusizi
District and the other in Nyamasheke Distric

t both in the Southern Zone and
reporting to the CORE
Project Manager
.

Purpose
of the position:
To
coordinate the implementation of CORE project in the district ensuring
integration of all its parts and its partnership with local partners at the district
level. The project coordinator will ensure that project teams in the district
are performing and make impact in the lives of the women and youth and is
responsible for staff capacity building. It will collaborate with the DME
specialisttoensure project monitoring and evaluation.

World Vision’s Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that
is an example to others.
The
major responsibilities include:
Business
Planning
  • Coordinate
    the implementation of the CORE project proposal document
  • Provide
    technical support to Market Facilitators, VSLA and Economic development
    officer and Cooperative officer for Core project.
  • Lead
    the Project annual plans and budgeting processes development and ensuring
    that the Core activities are streamlined and budgeted for.
  • Participate
    in Core monthly and quarterly budget review
Development
& implementation of strategies
  • Coordinate
    the promotion of CORE activities in the entire district
  • Coordinate
    the formation of Producers Groups and Commercial Villages in the
    operational area
  • Work
    with other partners to develop suitable and with an “attractive” name and
    packaging for new products and services
  • Identify,
    promote and document innovation from Core project
  • Work
    with Core manager to develop and rollout a suitable training module for
    staff, communities and clients on Off-farm components and products
Project
implementation and Monitoring
  • Coordinate
    the Annual, monthly planning for the Core project in accordance with the
    project design
  • Monitor
    the implementation of Core project  on a monthly basis
  • Regularly
    monitoring of the marketing strategies, VSLA boost and youth/women
    Cooperative performance in the district.
  • Monitor
    the impact of the programme and marketing efforts by relating them to
    operational indicators
  • Lead
    the collection and documentation of impact and success stories.
  • Regularly
    conduct surveys and focus group discussions to determine client
    satisfaction on the CORE products and services.
  • Monitor
    business progress of all entrepreneurs
  • Write
    monthly progress reports
  • Monitor
    project activities in accordance with the project milestones, working
    collaboratively with DME staff.
 Community
engagement and Training
  • Innovatively
    mobilize communities and market program products and activities for high
    adoption
  • Promote
    and use business forums in sectors and districts to market CORE products
    and to function as couching and mentorship youth and women forums.
  • Lead
    in the training of staff and Participate in the training of communities
    and clients on CORE components and products.
  • Provide
    on the Job couching and mentoring to supervisees
Reporting
and documentation
  • Produce
    and timely submit Monthly Management reports (MMR), Quarterly reports, and
    Annual Reports to CORE project Manager
  • Develop
    and circulate CORE promotional material, e.g. brochures, leaflets and
    fliers
  • Document
    lessons learnt and better practices on Quarterly basis
Child
Protection and Wellbeing
  • Monitor
    the impact (positive&negative) of CORE project on the wellbeing of
    children.
  • Ensure
    that Core project components, products and activities do not contribute to
    any form of child abuse or infringement of child rights
  • Promote
    and sensitize communities, clients and other stakeholders about children’s
    rights and responsibilities.
  • Ensure
    that child protection policy and guidelines are strictly adhered to among
    all staff, communities and clients you interact with.
 Capacity
Building and performance Management
  • Lead
    the identification of capacity building gaps for the direct reports
  • Ensure
    capacity building initiatives and learning platforms for the staff.
  • Liaise
    with the Zone, P&C and IPD for staff capacity development
  • Management
    of staff performance
Qualifications: 
Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The
following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education,
prior experience or on-the-job training:
  • Bachelor
    degree in agri-business, economics, development and business studies.
  • Having
    5 years relevant work experience in projects implementation
  • Business
    oriented mind set
  • Track
    record demonstrating high integrity, reliable and dependable
  • Excellent
    communication skills
  • Networking
    and influencing skills
  • Ability
    to work with minimal supervision.
  • Motorcycle
    Driving permit( Category A) is required
Working
Environment/Conditions:
  • Work
    environment:  Field based with some travels
  • On
    call:  10%
