The Bridge2Rwanda
Career Center is seeking a high capacity, enthusiastic test prep instructor to
join our teaching team in Kigali, Rwanda. This position is responsible for
teaching SAT, TOEFL (and potentially GRE) prep courses. Primary focus will be
with our Scholars Program, a 10 month university preparation program for 30+ of
Rwanda and Central Africa’s brightest students. More information on the

The ideal candidate
will have exper

ience such as teaching Kaplan or Princeton Review classes for
SAT and TOEFL or will have a sufficient background in teaching of English and
literature that they can train as a test prep instructor. Additional classes
offered to partner organizations provide substantial bonus opportunities, as
well!

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s
    Degree Required (preferably in Education)
  • Kaplan
    Certification (or Princeton Review or similar) for SAT and TOEFL required,
    by the time of start date
  • 2+
    years of teaching/tutoring experience preferred
  • International
    living/teaching experience preferred
  • TESOL
    Certification preferred

    confidence with ability to hold attentions of students
  • Mentoring
    experience is appreciated
  • Ability
    to quickly adapt to a new environment
  • Culturally
    sensitive and aware
  • Self-starter
    with a keen interest in implementation
  • Strong
    organizational skills, including effective time management
  • International
    living experience highly appreciated
