An
excellent opportunity has arisen for a Student Counsellor to join our Sydney
Student Services team. This is a challenging and rewarding role in which you
will provide placement, support and associated se

rvices to IDP and other
international students.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing information, advice, support and processing of applications for
international students seeking placement in Australian education institutions.
• Assisting IDP IELTS candidates with test bookings and general enquiries
• Promoting IDP products and services to students
• Providing support and referral for students with non- placement related
issues

Essential skills and qualifications (Selection Criteria):

• Valid Australian visa with work rights
• Fluent in English and a second language, preferably Khmer or Hindi
• Completed Bachelor Degree or an equivalent amount of experience/education
• Knowledge of Australian education institutions and their international
operations
• Work experience in a similar role
• Passion for customer service
• Sales and customer relationship management (CRM)
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated team player
• High level problem solving and negotiation skills
• Understand needs and issues of on-shore international students

Candidates who are registered with the Migrant Agents Registration Authority
or having prior education counselling experience will be highly regarded.
