Position Purpose:
Pact seeks a Lead
Program Management Specialist – Reproductive Health/Family Planning for the
anticipated four-year USAID-funded Moving Into The Future With The Youth
(PaMawa ndi a Chinyamata or PaMawa) program in Malawi. This position is
contingent upon funding.
Key
Responsibilities:
• Provide technical
guidance and leadership of reproductive health and family planning activities
for the project.
• Develop and
disseminate age and context appropriate communication products and messages for
the project.
Basic Requirements:
• Demonstrated
technical capacity for overseeing implementation of reproductive health and
family planning activities under PaMawa. This includes a strong understanding
of the country context including relevant efforts already underway, the
constraints on youth access to these services, and the opportunities and
limitations of behavior change communication approaches as a means of
increasing access. A strong understanding of cross-sector linkages is also
essential.
• Strong technical
communication abilities. Behavior change communication is central to PaMawa’s
objectives. The Lead Program Management Specialist for Reproductive Health and
Family Planning must possess relevant and demonstrated abilities to develop and
disseminate age and context-appropriate communication products and messages.
Preferred
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in
Chichewa and/or another local language.
